Late 18th/Early 19th Century American Hanging Corner Cupboard. Late 18th to early 19th century American hanging corner cupboard, constructed of white pine and mixed woods with a rich, dark patinated finish. The single raised-panel door retains its turned wooden knob with functioning rotating wooden catch, opening to a green-painted interior fitted with two shaped shelves. The cabinet features molded cornice and base, hand-wrought construction details, and period brass hinges. A charming and highly decorative country piece suitable for displaying pottery, treen, or early Americana. Measurements: 33"H x 23.5"W x 14"D overall. Side depth: 16.5". Condition Report: Very good antique condition with expected age-related wear, including scattered scratches, nicks, shrinkage, and surface wear consistent with over 200 years of use. Stable crack to the door panel and minor separations at molding joints. Interior shows evidence of a previously installed display shelf with screw holes. Hinges, wooden turn catch, and door are functional. This auction house considers the photographs to be part of the condition report. Provenance: Consigned from a fine estate near Atlanta.
