Two sealed bore brushes for the big .338 bore. The lot holds (1) one Pro-Shot Products .338 caliber benchrest brush, item 338R, with phosphor bronze bristles on a brass core, and (2) one Outers bore brush, item 41982, listed on the card for .338, .35 and .375 caliber rifles. Both are still attached to their original printed cards and neither has been run through a barrel. The cards show age yellowing, soft corners and old price tag residue, and one card edge is creased. The bristles are bright and full with no bent or missing rows. Condition is very good. A phosphor bronze brush on a brass core is the standard choice for cutting copper fouling out of a rifle bore, and the benchrest pattern uses a looped end and a heavier bristle count so the brush stays centered and scrubs the lands evenly. These thread eight thirty seconds male, which is the common rifle rod thread. Authenticity and function have not been verified by Crawford Auction Service. Estimated Value: $10 to $20 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot. Written descriptions are a guide only and may contain errors.
