Crescent 18 Inch and 12 Inch Adjustable Wrench Set

Two large adjustable wrenches. The first is a Crescent brand wrench marked 18 inch and 460 mm on the handle with the Crestoloy alloy marking and MADE IN U.S.A., opening wide enough for heavy pipe fittings and equipment nuts. The second is a twelve inch adjustable wrench marked FORGED ALLOY USA with a 4 D in an oval on the handle. Both use the worm screw and sliding jaw pattern that has been standard since the Crescent Tool Company popularized it, and both worms turn through their full travel in the photos. The jaws on both wrenches look square with no visible spread and the teeth on the adjusting screws are clean. The eighteen inch wrench carries heavy surface rust over most of the handle with the stamping still readable, and the twelve inch has rust freckles over dull chrome. Neither is bent and neither jaw is sprung. Condition is fair. Authenticity and function have not been verified by Crawford Auction Service.
