Title: Surreal Figure with Drawers in a Coastal Landscape Technique: Gouache on paper Measures: 11 x 8 inches Year: Undated Condition: Good overall condition, with strong colors and clearly defined details. Minor surface wear and age-related imperfections may be present. The reverse exhibits toning, scattered marks, and faint ink stamps. Presented under glass in a black frame with gold-tone beaded detailing, displaying light wear and abrasions. Please review all photographs carefully, as they form part of the condition report. Provenance: From a private South Florida collection; reportedly acquired from a Spanish private owner during the 1990s and retained by the same family until the present consignment. The reverse bears faint stamps and markings. Earlier ownership details were supplied through verbal provenance only and have not been independently verified. Visual Description: A surreal coastal composition depicting a draped figure with a shell-like head standing upon a rectangular stone pedestal. Above the figure floats a fragmented human form holding an open drawer beneath a partially ruined arch. Rocky formations, blue water, and an expansive yellow sky create a dreamlike setting. An inscription reading “Dalí” appears at the lower right. This composition reflects stylistic elements commonly associated with major figures in modern and contemporary art.
