Hand-carved and painted Navajo “Corn Lady” figure signed H. Benally, measuring approximately 7" tall. Carved from wood, the figure features a serene stylized face with closed eyes, deeply carved black hair gathered at the back, turquoise-colored earrings and necklace, and a colorful traditional-style garment. The front is prominently carved and painted with a large ear of corn in red, yellow, blue, and white, framed by green husks. The underside is signed “H. Benally,” “Diné,” and “Corn Lady.” The carving retains visible natural wood grain and hand-carved details throughout, with minor surface wear and paint variation consistent with display. A distinctive piece of signed Diné/Navajo folk art, Native American wood carving, Corn Lady sculpture, and Southwestern collectible art. See photos for signature, carving details, and condition.
