Autograph letter signed by Alexandrine Zola, addressed to Mr. Thyébaut, dated March 12, 1886. Written in brown ink on a double sheet of laid, watermarked paper. This letter attests to the couple's social life at the height of the naturalist period, 1886 being the year of publication of L'uvre. « Dear Mr. Thyébaut, » Can I count on you to come to dinner on Thursday the 18th? We just got back to Paris yesterday, and we would be very happy to gather a few friends, most of whom are yours. A yes, very quickly, isn't it? Very kind regards. Number of pages: 2 pages Carefully packaged in rigid, watertight packaging. - Alexandrine Zola, born Alexandrine Méley, was born on March 23, 1839, in Paris, and died on April 26, 1925, in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. She was the wife of the writer Émile Zola. Émile Zola was a French writer and journalist born on April 2, 1840, in Paris, and died on September 29, 1902, in the same city. Considered the leader of naturalism, he is one of the most popular French novelists and one of the most published, translated, and commented worldwide.
