An authentic 18th-century Georgian sterling silver tea mote (skimmer) spoon. Features an exquisitely hand-pierced bowl decorated with a central crosslet geometric grid and Rococo foliate scrollwork. The reverse is finished with a desirable "fancy drop" stylized shell heel. Stems end in the traditional sharp, tapered point for clearing teapot spouts.Hallmarks: Struck to the stem (bottom-marked) with the Lion Passant (925 sterling mark) and the maker's mark "TR" (attributed to London smallwork specialists Thomas Rush or Thomas Restall).Condition: Excellent antique condition. Pierced openwork is crisp with no structural breaks, splits, or historical solder repairs. Stem remains straight.Dimensions: Approx. 5.5 inches (14 cm) long.
