Mantel Clock with Maiden Figure. <br><br>28*16*46cm<br><br>French Neoclassical marble and ormolu figural mantel clock. Modelled as a Greek goddess such as Flora, embodying the Neoclassical revival of classical aesthetics. The figure's curly hair and floral garland around the neck are exquisitely carved. The clock body is crafted from Carrara marble, flanked by animal-head ring handles. The base stands on gilded paw feet with clean, elegant lines. White enamel dial with Roman numeral hour markers, central floral engraving. Inscribed along the rim with the Paris workshop mark "E.Godard Fils Brevete", belonging to a celebrated clockmaker of the period. 8-day twin-barrel mechanical movement, striking on the hour and half-hour.
