Granulation 20K Gold, Muzo-Colour Emerald and Diamond Lozenge-Shaped Brooch.

3.6*4.1cm Wt:8.7g

18th-19th-century Iberian antique brooch of lozenge-shaped outline, crafted in 20-carat gold, combining traditional Iberian filigree and granulation techniques. Intricately twisted-woven gold wire is embellished with granular gold beads of granulation, forming elaborate scrolling foliate motifs arranged in a radiating cross-shaped composition. The central principal emerald is of Muzo-colour, glassy body with excellent fire; further emeralds positioned to each corner, interspersed with multiple old-cut diamonds. The combined filigree-and-granulation goldwork demands exceptional craftsmanship. Well-preserved intact survivors are scarce, constituting a representative example of Iberian antique jewellery art.

ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS, WITH NO RETURNS OR CANCELLATIONS.

Additional photographs and condition reports may be provided upon request as a courtesy only.
