Racing, French War Ministry.

H:30cm W:10cm

Bronze commemorative sculpture for a carrier-pigeon competition awarded by the French Ministry of War, a unique historical artefact merging military and civilian carrier-pigeon culture. Finely cast bronze with a red marble base and bronze plaque depicting a peasant woman and carrier pigeons. Officially issued by the French Ministry of War as a trophy / commemorative sculpture for pigeon races. The sculpture centres on a female figure in traditional French peasant costume with a soft cap and apron, bending down to feed the pigeons at her feet in a tender, lifelike pose. Three pigeons on the base each have distinct postures with vivid detailing and clearly rendered feather textures, demonstrating the sculptor's precise mastery of pigeon anatomy. Rarely preserved intact, showing natural signs of age.

ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS, WITH NO RETURNS OR CANCELLATIONS.

Additional photographs and condition reports may be provided upon request as a courtesy only.
