Reliquary Shrine Pendant.

7*3.08cm Wt:26.49g

19th-century European Gothic-Revival solid-gold reliquary shrine pendant. Modelled after a Gothic church-spire tabernacle, finely open-work pierced throughout, featuring pointed spire, traceried lancet windows and clustered columns. A carved saint figure stands within the central niche; suspension loop at apex for wear as a pendant. Gothic-Revival constituted a major artistic movement of the 1800s. This shrine-pendant functions both as jewellery and devotional object, its interior chamber originally intended to hold relic fragments. Solid-gold surfaces show age-related wear; intricate open-work carving remains intact, chamber structure sound, suspension loop secure, overall in good preserved condition.

ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS, WITH NO RETURNS OR CANCELLATIONS.

Additional photographs and condition reports may be provided upon request as a courtesy only.
