Enamel Gem-Set. Overall Height:14cm Height (without base):10.5cm D:7.5cm Wt:522g Entirely hand-crafted in sterling 925 silver, with hand-engraved guilloch?? overlaid with high-fired mineral enamel, accented with amethyst and emerald gemstones. Full set of hallmarks present. "Brand History: Faberg??" Originating in Saint Petersburg, Russia, Faberg?? was founded in 1842 by Gustave Faberg??. Celebrated worldwide for superb craftsmanship and distinctive design language, the house produced numerous state gifts commissioned by the Russian Tsars. At the 1882 All-Russian Exhibition in Moscow, its wares earned widespread renown and were eagerly acquired by royal courts across Europe. An outstanding designer, Faberg?? specialised in working precious materials including gold, silver, jade and gemstones. Embracing bold innovation, he created many imaginative artistic objects bearing stylistic echoes of France's Louis-XVI period. He oversaw independent ateliers in Moscow, Kyiv and London.
