The centre features a master-level painted enamel miniature of the Virgin and Child. The main body is hand-wrought in 14K gold. The surrounding decoration employs the ?? quatre couleurs technique: 18K gold is alloyed into multiple tones, individually carved into varied blossoms and leaves, then assembled to form an interlacing floral motif. Adorned in Rococo-style gold carving, the piece carries an elegant, artistic silhouette exuding the noble romance of the French royal court. Immaculate condition. In antique jewellery terminology, ?? quatre couleurs refers to a sophisticated 19th-century French goldworking method known as four-colour gold inlay.
