Up for auction is a rare vintage "Bobbi-Mae Swing and Sway Doll" manufactured by Wondercraft Co. Inspired by famous big band leader Sammy Kaye ("Swing and Sway with Sammy Kaye"), this novelty composition figure features internal metal pin construction designed to allow the head and bodice/skirt to sway back and forth as if dancing. Dimensions: Measures approximately 11 inches tall. Markings: Retains the original paper label on the bottom underside: "BOBBI-MAE Swing and Sway Doll - INSPIRED BY SAMMY KAYE - PATENT PENDING - MANUFACTURED BY WONDER...". Condition Notes: Pre-owned vintage condition. Shows typical age-related crazing, fine paint cracking, and surface loss/flaking along the bottom front portion of the dress hem, exposing the underlying composition. Head, hair, and face remain in good condition with minor wear. Mechanical sway/nodder motion remains intact. Please inspect all photos closely for full condition details.
