Early 20th-century pressed steel steam locomotive with attached coal tender floor toy train. Features a rich dark maroon/burgundy painted finish with remnants of gilt pinstriping, spoke-style drive wheels, linkage rods, Cowcatcher front grill, and open tender. Detailed Condition & Features: Material & Construction: Stamped pressed sheet metal / steel body with integrated metal axels, spoke wheels, and linkage rods. Finish & Patina: Original maroon/dark red paint showing honest, uniform age wear, oxidation, surface rust, paint loss, and patina consistent with early 1900s-1920s playwear. Details: Includes front cowcatcher, boiler domes, cab side windows, and tender side oval embossing/striping. Underside reveals open-frame sheet metal construction with internal weighted wheel/drive mechanism components intact. Condition Notes: Untested for mechanical motion. Minor bending to sheet metal edges (typical for age); missing any original pull cord or small trim pieces if originally equipped. Displays exceptionally well with authentic primitive folk-art / antique toy appeal.
