Imperial German M1898/05 Sawback Butcher Bayonet. Single edged, bright blade with fuller and sawback spine. Royal acceptance stamps on the spine and pommel. Maker marked by Simson & Co on the ricasso. Steel hilt with grooved wood grips. Steel scabbard with leather frog. Leather portepee strap. Blade Length: 14 1/2" Total Length: 19 1/2" Condition: Good. Light wear, oxidation, finish loss and scratches. Tassel is missing from the portepee.
