French Restoration Period Infantry Officer Sword. Single edged, bright blade. Acid etched with "Pour le roi et la patrie" and floral patterns. Decorated 3 branch brass D guard. Leather and twisted wire wrapped handle. No scabbard. Blade Length: 32 3/8" Total Length: 38 3/8" Condition: Good. Light wear, oxidation, pitting and finish loss. Grip is dry with cracks and some loss to leather.
