Herman, Josef (Polish / British 1911-2000). Untitled ink wash, pen, and brush drawing. 8 5/8 x 6 1/2" (Sight). 16 1/4" x 13 5/8" (Frame). Matted in a wood frame. Not examined out of frame. Josef Herman was a Polish-British expressionist artist celebrated for his powerful portrayals of miners, farmers, and other working people. Using bold forms and expressive linework, his drawings and paintings convey the dignity, resilience, and humanity of everyday laboring communities.
