antique Art Nouveau cameo glass vase, created in the highly celebrated style pioneered by master French glassmaker Émile Gallé Dimension: 5"H. The vase features a squat, bulbous ovoid or gourd-like form that softly pinches at the top into a gently tri-lobed or undulating rim. This asymmetrical, organic opening is a hallmark of the French Art Nouveau movement, which rejected rigid geometric lines in favor of natural forms. The exterior displays a moody, atmospheric lakeside forest landscape. A prominent, gnarled tree dominates the foreground on the left, its detailed leafy canopy sweeping across the upper face. The mid-ground reveals lower-lying shoreline shrubs framing a calm body of water that mirrors a hazy sky.
