exceptional antique Japanese cloisonné enamel vase, showcasing a highly specialized glass-working technique known as totai shippo or ginbari cloisonné, dating from the late Meiji to Taisho period (early 20th century). Dimension: 7 1/4"H. The front face features a striking, high-contrast depiction of a large blooming chrysanthemum (kiku). The sweeping petals are filled with deep ruby-red and coral enamel gradients that transition into a vibrant chartreuse-green center.
