Dimension: 24 1/2"x20 1/2". The central focus is a proud, naturalistic rooster striding across the foreground. The artist captures its features with fine brushstrokes, highlighting its brilliant golden-brown neck feathers (hackles), mottled body, and a magnificent iridescent dark blue and green tail cascading backward. The rooster stands on a bed of golden straw or hay scattered across a stable floor. In the mid-ground, a simple wooden feeding bench or low table holds a shallow blue or grey stoneware bowl, surrounded by loose feed. In the bottom-left corner, there is a distinct, hand-painted cursive monogram signature that appears to read "wy" in black paint.
