rare pair of antique Imperial Russian silver-gilt and cloisonné enamel sugar sifter spoons (often used for tea, berries, or sugar dusting), crafted around the late 19th century or early 20th century. Dimension: 5"L. The flat-topped, shovel-like bowls features finely pierced star and dot ventilation holes at the upper half, allowing powdered sugar or tea leaves to sift through easily. The interior of each bowl is decorated with colorful, vibrant polychrome enamel scrollwork utilizing standard Imperial-period tones of cobalt blue, turquoise, cream, and deep red.
