Early 20th Century Ornate Cast Metal Floor Lamp

Tall early 20th-century floor lamp constructed in cast and turned metal with an aged brass or bronze-tone finish, featuring a slender standard rising from a richly ornamented octagonal base cast with floral sprays, scrollwork, fluting, and classical decorative motifs. The shaft incorporates molded collars and a prominent quilted or pineapple-form knop before terminating in an elaborate two-light socket cluster with foliate and geometric ornament, twin pull-chain sockets, and decorative chain finials. The lamp retains a large cream-colored bell-form fabric shade, giving the piece a traditional period appearance. The present example shows an appealing aged surface with oxidation, tarnish, darkened patina, rubbing, scratches, and general finish wear consistent with age and use; the shade exhibits visible discoloration, creasing, edge wear, and age-related soiling. Electrical components, sockets, pull chains, cord, and wiring appear older and should be professionally inspected before regular use; operational status is unknown. The substantial decorative casting and elegant proportions give the lamp strong appeal as both functional lighting and a traditional interior accent. Lamp measures 60"H x 8"W and shade is 13"H x 18"W.
