Substantial antique oak sideboard or buffet featuring strongly figured quarter-sawn oak throughout, with an elaborately carved frieze of scrolling foliate decoration across the upper front and additional carved ornament to the central cabinet door and architectural side supports. The case is fitted with a row of carved-front drawers beneath the top, a long central drawer, and three lower cabinet doors opening to spacious interior storage with shelving and divided compartments. Raised on boldly carved paw-style feet with substantial shaped supports, the piece has an impressive late Victorian to early 20th-century appearance and strong decorative presence. Surface wear, scratches, finish variation, edge wear, and other signs of age and use are present throughout, with additional wear visible to the back boards and interior consistent with age. Measures 38"H x 72"W x 27"D.
