Striking rustic armchair constructed from naturally formed driftwood or root wood, retaining an organic, highly sculptural silhouette with sweeping branch-form arms, an irregular shaped back, broad carved-out seat, and four stout legs. The weathered gray-brown surface displays pronounced natural grain, knots, hollows, splits, and other irregularities that emphasize the chair’s primitive, one-of-a-kind character. The form appears to have been shaped and assembled to take advantage of the natural contours of the wood, giving it strong folk-art and sculptural appeal. Condition shows expected age and use with surface wear, scuffs, scratches, natural cracking, checking, open knots, and weathering throughout. Measures 34"H x 42"W x 21"D with seat height is 17"tall
