Decorative pair of antique wrought iron wall-mounted brackets featuring elaborate hand-forged scrolling forms with large volutes, curled terminals, and fleur-de-lis shaped mounting plates. Each bracket is fitted with substantial iron chains suspended from the projecting scrollwork, suggesting use for hanging lanterns, signs, planters, or other suspended architectural elements. The bold openwork design and heavily aged surface give the pair strong Gothic and European-inspired architectural character. Both brackets retain an old dark oxidized patina with widespread surface rust, pitting, scratches, scuffs, and general wear consistent with age and outdoor or utilitarian use. Two of the chains are not attached to brackets. Measure 26"H x 2.75" x 6"D and chains are 26" to 40" long.
