Decorative set of three antique hand-colored engravings depicting picturesque European and English architectural landscapes, including a bustling view titled “Sand Hill, Newcastle Upon Tyne,” a mountainous convent scene, and a pastoral castle landscape identified along the lower margin as a view on the Tweed in North Durham. Each work combines finely engraved detail with softly applied period color, capturing historic architecture, figures, horses, roads, and surrounding countryside in the romantic topographical style popular during the 19th century. The engravings are presented beneath glass with pale mats and gilt wood frames. Condition shows age-related toning, foxing, fading, and discoloration to the paper and mats, with scattered scratches, scuffs, gilt loss, and wear to the frames consistent with age. Measure 4"H x 6" and 6.5"H x 8"W with frame.
