Handcrafted mahogany sideboard by Suter's of Harrisonburg, Virginia, a maker known for traditionally constructed Colonial and Federal reproduction furniture. The sideboard features a long rectangular top above two upper drawers and a larger central drawer, flanked by raised-panel cabinet doors, all accented with polished brass bail hardware and fitted locks. Tall square tapered legs, a gracefully scalloped apron, and the rich reddish mahogany finish give the piece a refined Federal-inspired appearance. The drawer retains the “Reproductions Suter’s Harrisonburg Virginia” maker’s stamp and displays dovetail construction, with an accompanying key included. Suter’s furniture was historically promoted as handmade reproduction furniture produced in Harrisonburg, with the company tracing multiple generations of Virginia cabinetmaking. Condition shows expected use with scratches, scuffs, finish wear, and surface abrasions, including several noticeable scratches across the top. Measures 40"H x 68"W x 16"D.
