Heisey caramel-colored glass spittoon, molded in a substantial ribbed form with a deeply flared, scalloped rim and rounded lobed body that gives the piece a bold architectural appearance. The warm amber-caramel glass has excellent clarity and strong light-catching depth throughout the heavy molded ribs. The underside bears the recognizable H within a diamond mark used by A.H. Heisey & Company. A handsome piece of early American pressed glass with strong decorative appeal and an unusual utilitarian form. In good condition overall with only light age-appropriate surface wear and minor handling marks, with no obvious major chips or cracks visible. Measures 3" H x 4" Diameter.
