Golden late-day light washes across this atmospheric tropical landscape, illuminating a broad marshy meadow bordered by towering palmetto palms, dense woodland, and a quiet reflective waterway in the foreground. The composition is especially appealing for its warm amber, russet, and olive tones, with long bands of sunlight moving through the grasses beneath a softly clouded blue sky. Tall palms rise dramatically above the tree line, giving the scene a distinctly Southern coastal or Florida-inspired character, while the still water and layered vegetation create a strong sense of depth and tranquility. Executed in oil on canvas with finely blended passages throughout the sky and water and more textured brushwork in the grasses, foliage, and palm fronds. No signature is visible. Unframed. The painting exhibits scattered light scuffs and minor surface wear, including some rubbing along the outer edges and corners consistent with handling. Measures 23.5" x 20".
