A highly decorative two-piece collection of vintage Continental-style ceramics, comprising an elaborate Rococo Revival porcelain courting couple figural group and a striking hand-painted black-and-white zebra animalier figure. The porcelain group depicts an elegantly attired gentleman and lady seated closely together upon a molded settee with pierced lattice-form back, the gentleman playing a gilt-highlighted flute while his companion cradles a white dove or bird. Richly modeled throughout, the composition is distinguished by cascading ruffles, sculptural folds, delicately painted facial features, softly shaded hair, black breeches and shoes, and a refined palette of celadon green, rose pink, ivory and gilt. Its romantic musical subject, theatrical costume and intimate courtship imagery place it firmly within the enduring Rococo Revival tradition inspired by 18th-century Continental European porcelain. The underside bears a green numerical mark appearing to read "2642." Approximately 5 in. high.

The accompanying animal figure is an unusually graphic stylized zebra, approximately 8 in. long, modeled standing with a substantial rounded body and finished in a glossy ivory-white glaze animated by sweeping hand-painted black stripes, dark legs, tail and facial detailing. The dramatic monochrome treatment gives the sculpture immediate visual presence, bridging traditional ceramic animalier decoration with a distinctly modern decorative sensibility. The underside bears a partially legible alphanumeric designation appearing to read "C.105 01," together with the words "Hand painted."

Together, the two works offer an appealing juxtaposition of romantic Continental porcelain figural art and bold decorative animal sculpture, with strong crossover interest for collectors of vintage porcelain figurines, Rococo Revival ceramics, courting-couple figures, musician figurines, animalier sculpture, zebra collectibles, hand-painted ceramics and European decorative arts. Both display attractively overall. The courting group shows minor age-appropriate wear and rubbing to portions of the gilt and painted decoration; no major chips, cracks or extensive restoration are evident. The zebra likewise appears well preserved overall, with no obvious major structural damage visible.
