This exquisite antique dessert cutlery set comprises six knives and six forks, each featuring beautifully carved ivory handles and silver plated mounts.<br>The set is presented in its original fitted mahogany presentation case with an inset brass shield cartouche on the lid and rich blue velvet interior. The craftsmanship of the box reflects high Victorian period taste and quality. <br> <br>Key features: <br>Origin: England, London (hallmarked) <br>Date: Circa 1850s <br>Condition: Very good antique condition overall. Blades show some tarnish and surface wear consistent with age. The ivory handles have minor natural age-related hairlines and patina. The mahogany box shows an age split on the lid and minor veneer losses. <br>Measurements: Knives approximately 8 inches long; forks approximately 7 inches long. <br>
