Two-piece lot pairing a traditional Norwegian silver bunad brooch w/ a small antique paste sash buckle. One: Large Norwegian solje wedding brooch by Magnus Sunde, marked M.SUNDE 830S on the reverse of the crowned open-heart top plate (830 Scandinavian silver, 83% pure, per consignor). Crowned heart frame w/ twisted-rope border overlays a dense scrolled-filigree body hung w/ rows of gilt concave ‘spoon’ teardrops and diamond-form kite dangles that swing freely; hinged pin stem and C-clasp backing on the heart plate. Overall length approx. 3.60 in. from top of crown to bottom of longest dangle. Weight 12g. Two: Small antique navette-form sash buckle set w/ closed-back foil-backed clear paste stones — a large rose-cut central paste w/ dark foil accents surrounded by two rows of prong-set clear paste — on a silver-topped yellow-metal frame w/ hand-crafted openwork under-gallery and integrated bar-and-slide construction for a ribbon or sash. Unmarked. Measures 1.04 in. length x 0.66 in. width. Weight 1g. Solje shows patina and light surface wear, all dangles present and swing freely, C-clasp functional; paste buckle shows age-related dulling and minor foil darkening to a couple of stones, all stones present and secure in prong settings.
