Vintage hand-painted wooden mechanical Woodchopper’s Bank featuring a colorful woodcutter with a spring-mounted bobble head, raised axe, chopping block and painted rabbit-and-flower decoration. Place a coin in the slot beneath the axe and turn the red side handle. The woodchopper swings the axe, driving the coin into the bank. Tested and works perfectly. Includes its scarce original illustrated "Woodchopper’s Bank" box marked “Dan-Dee Imports, N.Y.C. - Made in Japan.” Estimated circa 1950s-1960s. Bank remains colorful with light storage and handling wear. Original box exhibits creases, tears, edge wear and weakened flaps. Examine all photographs closely for condition. If you have any doubt, please attend the preview and examine all photographs closely before bidding. This estimated auction value was created using AI research of actual sold prices from online auction sites and marketplaces during the past 12 months.
