Vintage mid-century Japanese novelty table lighter shaped like a military armored car. Heavy cast-metal construction with an aged brass-tone finish and detailed wheels, armor panels, equipment, and rivets. Pressing the control causes the concealed lighter mechanism to pop up from the vehicle. Approximately 4 inches wide. No music box is present. Lighter has not been tested with fuel; pop-up mechanism operates properly. Displays surface wear, oxidation, and finish loss appropriate for age. Circa 1950s-1960s.
