Group of three old Indian pierced metal architectural panels or jali-style screens featuring intricate openwork designs with geometric patterns, floral-style forms, and repeated animal motifs. Jali screens have a long tradition in Indian architecture and were used as decorative window screens, ventilation panels, room dividers, railings, and architectural elements that allowed light and air to pass through while providing shade and privacy. These three panels vary in design, including one with a curved upper edge and repeated figural/animal decoration, one tall rectangular panel with repeating geometric openwork, and one arched panel with multiple animal and symbolic decorative motifs. Tallest measures approximately 73 inches high x 19 inches wide. Two additional coordinating panels are included. Constructed of metal with extensive oxidation, surface rust, discoloration, pitting, wear, and naturally developed patina throughout. Exact age, maker, region of India, and original architectural placement have not been independently verified. Excellent architectural salvage pieces for wall display, garden use, decorative screens, room dividers, or interior design. If you have any doubt, please attend the preview and examine all photographs closely before bidding.
