Antique Hungarian riveted iron cauldron or cooking vessel with a broad rounded form, rolled upper rim, hand-riveted panel construction, and heavy swing bail handle. Measures approximately 10 inches high x 13 inches diameter. The surface shows excellent old patina with oxidation, wear, discoloration, scratches, and remnants of an older finish consistent with long utilitarian use. Riveted seams and handmade construction give this piece strong primitive European character. Estimated era: Late 19th to early 20th century, approximately 1880-1920. Old European cauldrons like this are commonly repurposed today as decorative planters and garden containers, making this a strong piece for primitive, farmhouse, European country, hearth, or garden display. If you have any doubt, please attend the preview and examine all photographs closely before bidding. Estimated Auction Value: $75-$125 This estimated auction value was created using AI research of actual sold prices from online auction sites and marketplaces during the past 12 months.
