Primitive Wooden Storage Chest with Iron Hardware

Old primitive wooden storage chest featuring a hinged lift-top lid, decorative metal front hasp, iron corner and side hardware, and an interior divided compartment. The chest has a simple handmade appearance with visible joinery, aged wood surfaces, staining, scratches, discoloration, small splits, and wear from long-term use. The scalloped lower apron adds a decorative touch while the metal hardware gives the piece strong rustic and primitive character. Interior includes a smaller divided section along one side for organizing smaller items. Measures approximately 21 inches wide x 11 inches deep. Overall height was not provided. Exact maker, age, wood species, and original intended use are unknown. Appears to be an older handmade utility or storage chest.
