Original vintage Thums Up advertising metal ice chest or street-vendor cooler from India, featuring the large hand-painted "Thums Up" advertising lettering across the front and an attached bottle opener. Heavy metal construction with hinged lift-top lid, carrying handle, side handles, bottle opener, and chain-supported lid. Interior remains in good solid condition for its age, with expected surface oxidation and use wear. Measures approximately 23 inches wide x 16 inches deep x 14 inches high. The exterior retains a great old red painted surface with extensive age-related paint wear, scratches, oxidation, discoloration, and patina. This honest wear gives the cooler excellent vintage advertising character. Please review all photographs closely for exact condition. Thums Up was introduced in India in 1977, and coolers of this type were used by shopkeepers and street vendors to ice and sell bottled soft drinks.
