Description: Hardcover first edition of "Practical Pottery for Craftsmen and Students" by R. Horace Jenkins, M.S., Professor of Ceramics and Industrial Education at Humboldt State College, with an introduction by A.B. Clark of Stanford University, published by The Bruce Publishing Company, Milwaukee, copyright 1941. An instructional ceramics text covering pottery techniques, illustrated with historical and craft photography, including a frontispiece image of a fifth-century B.C. Greek kalyx krater from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The front free endpaper bears a period ownership signature reading "Camilla Gardner." A useful reference for pottery collectors, ceramic artists, and craft book collectors. Condition Report: Good vintage condition, wear commensurate with age. The cloth covers show light shelf wear at the corners and spine ends, along with some toning to the page edges. No tears or losses noted to the binding.
