Flat square hide-covered travel or saddle cushion or pad, hand-painted in a rust-red pigment over a natural cream ground. One side depicts a camel standing beneath a palm tree within a decorative bordered frame, while the reverse is decorated with a radiating geometric star motif, both surrounded by repeating triangle, diamond, and rosette border patterns. The piece is hollow and sewn closed on all edges, with a small loop attached to one side, likely for hanging or tying — consistent with a small travel or saddle cushion of the type traditionally used across North Africa and the Middle East, made from painted hide rather than woven textile. A specific maker or exact origin isn't confirmed from the photos alone, but the materials, hand-stitched construction, and painted camel-and-palm motif point to genuine vintage handwork rather than a modern reproduction. Measures H: 1.5", W: 9.75", L: 9.75". A charming and unusual decorative piece for display. Condition Report: Good vintage condition, wear commensurate with age. The painted surface shows overall toning, scattered surface creasing, and light rubbing/fading to the pigment, along with a few thin surface cracks in the leather visible on one side. The stitched edges appear intact and closed. Keywords: Camel skin cushion, Egyptian folk art, painted leather cushion, North African travel cushion, camel motif, hand-painted hide, vintage leather craft, saddle cushion, ethnic decorative textile, tabletop display piece Dimensions: H: 1.5", W: 9.75", L: 9.75"
