This vintage Panay Horizontal Show Jar features an elongated, clear molded glass body designed for dry goods display. The cast metal end assembly contains a spring-hinged lid embossed Panay Horizontal Show Jar Co Milwaukee, Wis. U.S.A.Patented and a white porcelain knob. A black rubber gasket lines the interior opening for an airtight seal. It measures 23 inches long by 6.25 inches wide by 8.5 inches high.The glass body remains structurally sound with light surface grime. Metal components exhibit surface oxidation and white corrosion. The cork gasket is dry and deteriorating.
