According to verbal provenance, the work was obtained during the clearance of a commercial property in Manhattan in the early 1990s and retained privately thereafter. Supporting records from the original clearance are unavailable. The reverse bears stamps referencing the Nakamura Keith Haring Collection and the Keith Haring Estate, together with an Art Gallery New York stamp.
