Original multi-plate color etching by Austrian printmaker Josef Eidenberger (1899–1991), titled Heidelberg. The detailed cityscape presents the historic German city’s tiled rooftops and prominent church tower, with Heidelberg Castle overlooking the scene from the wooded hillside. Pencil-signed by Eidenberger beneath the image and displayed under glass with a deep green mat in an ornate carved dark-wood frame. Eidenberger was internationally recognized for his finely rendered architectural and landscape etchings of European and American landmarks. artwork; print is approximately 19.5" X 21.5" including frame.
