QIANLONG PERIOD OF THE QING DYNASTY. <br>Height:2cm (0.79in) , Diameter:18cm (7.09in) The vase has flared mouth, contracted neck, full shoulder and tapering body, imposing and elegant in form. Gilded rim. Neck and foot are framed by bright?yellow ground famille?rose bands of scrolling flowers and ruyi?head patterns. Main body on white ground depicts pomegranate?tree motif with gnarled branches and plump fruits, some split open to reveal abundant seeds, interspersed with leaves and buds. Pomegranate symbolizes numerous offspring and blessings, an auspicious traditional theme. Fine painting with natural gradation on fruits and leaves. Base bears iron?red six?character seal?script mark ??Da Qing Qian?Long Nian Zhi??. Old collection labels preserved on base.
