HANGING SCREEN DEPICTING THE SEVEN HEROES' RIVALRY. Overall dimensions Height:60cm (23.62in) , Width:115cm (45.28in) Fan?shaped porcelain plaque inset within original rosewood outer frame, equipped with dual?metal hanging rings, neatly mounted. The fan?format panel depicts seven roosters in varied stances: some crow with heads held high, others glance and wander, with distinctly layered plumage conveying vigorous bearing. Palms, peonies, bamboo?rocks and lush grasses compose the background with well?balanced density. The title ??Qi Xiong Zheng Ba (Seven Roosters Contending for Supremacy) ??, accompanied by inscription and seal, is rendered at upper?left. Skilled gradation of cobalt?blue yields rich tonal layers. ??Seven roosters?? puns for sevenfold auspiciousness, symbolising ambition and good fortune.
