WITH A PICTURE OF LANDSCAPE, FIGURE AND STORY, WITH THE INSCRIPTION "WEN WEN SHAN DOU". <br>Height:18cm (7.09in) , Diameter:20.5cm (8.07in) A substantial straight?sided cylindrical brush pot for scholar??s studio. The exterior is painted in continuous blue?and?white scene depicting mountain landscape with two scholars conversing on river?bank, featuring craggy rock formations, pines, rippling water, moon and flying wild geese, conveying serene literati aesthetic. The cobalt?blue demonstrates rich tonal gradations; rock texture and figure robes are finely rendered. Double blue lines run along mouth and base rim. The base bears four?character blue?and?white mark ??Wen Zhang Shan Dou??. The unglazed foot ring shows natural iron?rust discoloration and wear traces. ??Wen Zhang Shan Dou?? is a popular auspicious studio mark of Qing period.
