This vintage Mido Multifort Super-Watertest is an original mid-century watchmaker’s pressure-testing instrument designed to test the water resistance of wristwatch cases. The tester features a clear cylindrical glass testing chamber, an internal hook for suspending a watch case, and a manual pressure pump with a chrome-topped plunger. A dual-unit analog pressure gauge measures pressure in kg/cm² and lbs/in², allowing the watchmaker to test cases under controlled air pressure. This is an excellent collectible piece of vintage horological equipment, particularly appealing to watchmakers, watch collectors, and enthusiasts building period-correct watch repair or service displays. Condition: Shows vintage wear including scratches, oxidation, discoloration, and general signs of age and storage. The glass chamber should be carefully inspected for chips or cracks. The pump, seals, pressure gauge, and pressure-holding ability have not been tested. The gauge should not be assumed accurate or safe for pressurized use without professional inspection.
