This vintage A.D. Leveridge Millimeter Gauge & Estimator is a classic mechanical precision instrument used by jewelers, gemologists, and watch/jewelry professionals to measure gemstone dimensions and estimate corresponding carat weight. The instrument features a millimeter measuring gauge with sliding jaws, along with an internal dial and secondary indicator system used to interpret measurements. Leveridge gauges are particularly interesting examples of early 20th-century jewelry trade tools and were designed to provide quick measurements for gemstones and mounted stones. Patented examples date to the 1930s, making this an excellent collectible for enthusiasts of antique jewelry tools, gemological instruments, and vintage precision equipment. Condition: Shows vintage wear including scratches, discoloration, oxidation, and general signs of age and use. The sliding mechanism, jaws, dial, and measurement accuracy have not been tested or calibrated. Please review all photos carefully for condition, markings, and completeness. Untested; sold as-is for repair, restoration, parts, display, or collection.
