caddy, circa 1820–1830, outlined with lightwood stringing and raised on four gilt-metal lion-paw feet. The hinged lid opens to a red-lined fitted interior containing two removable lidded tea canisters flanking a central cut-glass mixing bowl. Fitted with a mother-of-pearl shield-form escutcheon and gilt-metal ring handles at the sides.
